Les Arcs

Our Les Arcs chalet, Chalet Le Passeu, is based in the village of Peisey-Nancroix, a traditional local village in the very heart of the Paradiski ski area. Like our other chalet, Chalet Epicea, Chalet le Passeu is only a single lift away from the Vanoise Express, the impressive cable car linking Les Arcs to La Plagne, so both are perfectly situated to take full advantage of the more than 425km of pistes available to you.

To see how central within the Paradiski Chalet Le Passeu really is, just check out the Paradiski Piste Map – find the central Vanoise Express, and you’ll see Peisey Nancroix right underneath it – just a single lift away. Simple!

The Village
Peisey is only a small village, but has all the amenities you would expect of a mountain village - bars, a restaurant, a ski shop, and a local supermarket - and they're only a 5 minute walk away from the chalet.. And unlike much of Les Arcs, which, it is has to be said, appears to have been designed by an over-zealous, concrete-obsessed 1960s architect, Peisey-Nancroix is a real, traditional working village, and as such has the Savoyard charm that makes a ski holiday in the snow feel so special.

And in addition to our village, just a short, free bus ride away is the town of Peisey-Vallandry where there are plenty more shops, bars and restaurants, if you feel the need to explore further afield.

And if you really want to explore, the same free bus can also take you the Rosuel National Park, a beautiful and totally unspoilt mountain paradise, where you can get involved in various different activities – why not try a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the magical snow scenes in this area of outstanding national beauty?

Access to skiing from the chalet

We know that you’re on a ski trip to ski or board, not to waste time and energy walking in all your gear to and from the chalet. So unlike some so-called ski-in, ski-out chalets, we promise little/no walking to and from the slopes in your ski gear – at all! How? Simple. We offer all our guests free, quick and easy pick-ups and drop-offs in our 7 seater 4x4s to the nearest lift, the journey taking less than three minutes! So you can literally step out of our front door, and the next step you take is onto Lonzagne, the local lift that whisks you up into the skiing. Beats even a short walk to the slopes we reckon, all in heated comfort!

And once you’re up the Lonzagne lift, you’re well placed to head off to either Les Arcs or La Plagne – take the modern Peisey 6-man chairlift, and you’re then into the Les Arcs system and ready to go. Or instead, just jump on the Vanoise Express and you’re into La Plagne. It really couldn’t be easier!

And for a truly memorable skiing experience, why not try the North Face of Bellecote (guided only please), a world famous off-piste route in La Plagne, which takes you down from the Bellecote Glacier all the way to the village of Nancroix, a massive 2,000m vertical drop. Nancroix is only 5 minutes from Chalet Le Passeu, and although there’s a free ski bus, just let us know you’re going, and we’ll come and pick you up for free – how’s that for a ski home?!
